| This lovely home was built by Col. E.C. Markham, for his wife, in 1893 but is known for the local doctor, R.A. Sparks, who practiced medicine in the home from 1910 to the late 1930’s. |

Over the years it was "modernized" to suit the décor of the times and was in need of major renovation when we purchased it in 1994. We totally restored the entire house and decorated it with the furniture and antiques we brought back to the States from England, where we lived for almost seven years. |
